I attended my first weaving workshop this week, amongst all of Finn ailments and with a major cold I can't seem to shake. The workshop was held at The Pioneer Craft House and taught by Judie Eatough (she is a star). The site alone is fabulous, filled with history and gives off an charming Northern European feeling with the many old building.
Hearing many loom sounds all around, having nothing else to to but weave was a nice change of beat. I understand why artists need studios, a place with a sole purpose without distractions. I haven't sewn in weeks because I have nowhere to set up my sewing machine permanently.
Last night I fixed up my warp a little and this morning started on a scarf using the same threading I had chosen for the worshop (rosepath with alternating color thread). I am really loving the little navy flowers that are popping out all the sudden.
Wow! That is amazing!

That is really pretty Juliette. I just loved the sampler you were weaving at the workshop. Can't wait to see this one finished. :)
