Our local big box of tools store had a special on potted ranunculus this weekend and I just couldn't resist their cheerful little heads. Ten of them found their way on the kitchen windowsill, distracting away from the dirty window and dirty weather beyond.
Our old cat Romeow is intrigued, he won't risk going outside much anymore and especially not in the winter. We adopted him very soon after I immigrated so that makes him at least 12 years old.

Aww Romeow is happy for the promise of spring too! He is so beautiful. Makes me miss my Bubba kitty.
