I am making my own spring again today, trying to put into action the advice on point of focus and gestural finish as illustrated in Bringing Nature Home, a collection of Nicolette Owen's arrangements. I should have used a tripod in these gloomy light conditions but I couldn't be bothered at the time... regrets are unprofessional they say, well that might explain a few things!
The tree limb is a dare of sorts but it is still standing, in the shallow jadeite dish held in place by a spiky floral frog. It makes me smile and cringe at the thought of what could so easily transpire.

Kitty kitty hasn't jumped up to help themselves to the leaves on the tree or to take a drink from the dish? I love the implausibleness the giant "tree" in a small dish. I doubt such a beauty would stay standing in my house very long.
Your arrangements are always so lovely. You have such a beautiful sense of design!

mmm...both are just beautiful. I love the tall branch and the itty bitty container. It defies gravity!
