As Finn experiments with covering his environment and himself with all kind of new tastes, I am looking for some variety. The perfect finger food, besides Oreos, what is it?
Today, a combination of corn kernel and completely peeled clementine slices...
What is your perfect finger food?

this isn't very green but commercial cereals are our finger food of choice. cheerios in particular. also diced dried apricots and quartered grapes for an older baby. tiny pastas are super for fine motor skill development. those little suckers like to stick to the table or bowl and it takes a lot of effort to get them all into the little mouth. it is fun to watch.

My kids have both enjoyed diced avocado and/or tofu.

String cheese, shredded and torn into 1" pieces. No matter how tired/ cranky/ teething he is, he will lap it up.

I agree with the box cereals, it's easy to plop a few down while you are preparing the real food and it keeps them entertained for a bit. We like Chex and kix. no sugar cereals please.

oh hi, me again, we have a high chair like yours and I love it, it's so nice to have them up at the table with us and the foot rest is wonderful!

My daughter really likes steamed peas and carrots. She also has liked tofu dusted with Wheat Germ lately.

Hi-
Got to your blog through your ChickPea blog.
I have a 10 month old, too--she loves eating Norwegian "brown chesse", a very caramely flavor. Also bits of cheese and Cheerios, whole grain bread pieces, and sometimes I give her a bowl of cottage cheese, and just let her go to town by herself.
I had to write 'cause I saw you went to Primary Children's, where I used to work 6 years ago. Now I'm living in Vermont, but still miss parts of SLC.
