Under my freshly finished garland of pennants, you can meet two of my young sewing students today. The studio is completely booked in May on Wednesdays, so I have been teaching at home. The girls love it but I feel a lot like we are camping!
Izzy, posing here in her school uniform (how cute is that skirt!) is making a pillow case while Amberlee, her cousin, sews a Capri Sun bag on her very own Bernina Activa 230 Quilt (lucky girl!). I always tell myself that if my house burned down tomorrow and I had to get a new sewing machine pronto that is the exact model I would get. It's the best machine I have ever sewn on at this price range (around $1000).
Amberlee is very enthusiastic about the pennants as well as Capri Sun crafts at large. She wants to make the garland for her room and I must admit that I will be glad when we move on from sewing plastic and get back to fabric and felt.
It's hard to see on those pictures but the bias tape is made by moi in polka dot fabrics while the pennants have a scalloped white felt trim. I will be taking some better pictures soon because this project is to become my next Sewing Republic pattern...
The pennants turned out beautiful! I love them. These girls are going to be professional sewers before they reach high school with such a great teacher and wonderful equipment to learn on! Lucky girls. I hope they know how lucky they are!

The pennants are wonderful, so cheerful and festive!

Is making of pennants is easy? Pennants can make the festival wonderful and more lively because of the colors it has.
I can use it in some festive events here in our place.
